Salem Road. Yours truly, CITY OF REXBURG Marilyn Hansen City Clerk FINDINGS OF FACT FOR ANNEXATION AND ZONE CHANGE FOR NORMAN THOMPSON On December 21, 2001, John Millar appeared before the Planning & Zoning Commission for the City of Rexburg requesting annexation and zone change for property owned by Norman and Pauline Thompson, located at 1450 N. Salem Road. If annexed, the property will be zoned Highway Business District (HBD). An agreement has been reached between the City and the Thompsons for annexation of said 1 acre of ground in exchange for right of way property to be used for a turn lane on Salem Highway and Cemetery Road. It was recommended that this request go to public hearing. On January 24, 2001, the City Clerk sent the Notice of Public Hearing to be published in the local newspaper on January 26 and February 7, 2001, posted a notice on the property and sent notices to all property owners within 300 feet of the above mentioned property. On February 14, 2001, John Millar appeared before the Planning & Zoning Commission for the City of Rexburg requesting annexation and zone change for property owned by Norm and Pauline Thompson located at 1450 N. Salem Road. There was no opposition expressed concerning annexation or this zone change to Highway Business District (HBD). It was recommended by Planning & Zoning that this request be approved for public hearing before the City Council. 4. On February 15, 2001, the City Clerk sent the Notice of Public Hearing to be published in the local newspaper on February 16 and February 28, 2001, posted a notice on the property and sent notices to all property owners within 300 feet of the above mentioned property. 5. John Millar appeared before the City Council of the City of Rexburg requesting annexation and zone change on property located at 1450 N. Salem Road and owned by Norm and Pauline Thompson. There was no public comment concerning the annexation and zone change to Highway Business District (HBD). It was moved that the Council take the recommendation of Planning & Zoning and approve the requested annexation and zone change to Highwav Business District (HBD). Stephen Zollinger, City At6olney
