ZONE CHANGE FOR SUTHERLAND, NEUMANN, EISSA
1. On February 21, 2001, Bruce Sutherland, Dan Neumann and EISSA presented to the
Rexburg City Clerk an Application for Zone Change on property located at 165 N.
Center for Bruce Sutherland, 163 N. Center for Dan Neumann and property West on 2'
North for EISSA, requesting said property to be changed from Highway Business District
(HBD) to High Density Residential (HDR).
2. On February 28, 2001, Gary Sutherland on behalf of Bruce Sutherland, and Dan
Neumann appeared before the Planning & Zoning Commission for the City of Rexburg
requesting a zone change of said property from HBD to HDR. It was recommended that
this request go to public hearing.
3. On March 1, 2001, the City Clerk sent the Notice of Public Hearing to be published in
the local newspaper on March 7 and 21, 2001, posted a notice on the property and sent
notices to all property owners within 300 feet of the above mentioned property.
4. On March 28, 2001, Dan Neumann appeared before the Planning & Zoning Commission
for the City of Rexburg requesting a zone change from HBD to HDR on property
described above. There was public comment concerning the potential traffic problem on
1" North with the type of traffic using that road but not necessarily in opposition to the
zone change. It was recommended by Planning & Zoning that this request be approved
for public hearing before the City Council.
5. On March 28, 2001, the City Clerk sent the Notice of Public Hearing to be published in
the local newspaper on April 2 and 11, 2001, posted a notice on the property and sent
notices to all property owners within 300 feet of the above mentioned property.
6. On April 18, 2001, a public hearing was held before the City Council of the City of
Rexburg requesting a zone change on property located at 165 N. Center for Bruce
Sutherland, 163 N. Center for Dan Neumann and property West on 2°d North for EISSA
from HBD to HDR. There was no public comment. It was moved the Council take the
recommendation of Planning & Zoning and approve the requested zone change as being
the best use for the property and being in the best interest of the community.
