Yl South. Yours truly, CITY OF REXBURG Marilyn Was en City Clerk FINDINGS OF FACT FOR ZONE CHANGE FOR RANDALL PORTER On October 17, 2001, Randall Porter presented to the Rexburg City Clerk a Request and Application for Zone Change on property located at 208 E. 3' South in the City of Rexburg, said property to be changed from Low Density Residentiall (LDRI) to University (U). Said zone change would enable the sale of the home to BYU-Idaho for the purpose of an alumni house. 2. On October 24, 2001, Randall Porter appeared before the Planning & Zoning Commission for the City of Rexburg requesting a zone change on said property located at 208 E. 31' South from LRD1 to U. It was recommended by the Planning & Zoning Commission that this request go to public hearing. 3. On October 25, 2001, the City Clerk sent a Notice of Public Hearing advertising a public hearing before the Planning & Zoning Commission on November 14, 2001, for publication in the local newspaper on October 29 and November 7, 2001, posted a notice on the property and sent notices to all property owners within 300 feet of the above mentioned property. 4. On November 14, 2001, Randall Porter appeared before the Planning & Zoning Commission for the City of Rexburg requesting a zone change from Low Density Residential 1 (LDRI) to University (U) on property located at 208 E.3' South in the City of Rexburg. There was some public comment from representatives of BYU-Idaho in favor of the zone change for the purpose of converting this home into an Alumni house. There was no opposition expressed concerning this zone change. It was recommended by Planning & Zoning that this request be approved as presented for public hearing before the City Council. 5. On November 15, 2001, the City Clerk sent the Notice of Public Hearing advertising a public hearing before the City Council on December 19, 2001, for publication in the local newspaper on November 30 and December 12, 2001, posted a notice on the property and sent notices to all property owners within 300 feet of the above mentioned property. 6. On December 19, 2001, Randall Porter appeared before the City Council of the City of Rexburg requesting a zone change on property located at 208 E. 3' South from Low Density Residential 1 (LDRI) to University (U). Richard Smith, a representative of Ricks College was present in favor of the zone change for this property to be used as an Alumni House. There was no opposition to the request for zone change. It was moved and approved that on the recommendation of Planning & Zoning Commission that this request for zone change to University (U) be granted as presented. V� Stephe Zollinger, City Ati mey
