Dear LaMar,
I have reviewed the sidewalk situation in your area with the Mayor and it was determined what
commitments were made at the time annexations were proposed in your area that sidewalks
would not be required at the time of property transaction but at the time when the streets in the
area are upgraded and curb and gutter is installed and ditches are covered.
This reconstruction of the streets may happen within a two to three period or it may be as long as
five to ten years but it should be kept in mind that at some point in the future property owners in
your area will be required to provide sidewalks as the transfer of property occurs from individual
to individual.
It should bd noted also that if a development does happen to the east of you that they will be
required at that time to put in curb, gutter and sidewalk around their entire facility if one is
constructed,
