GENERAL NOTES
1. UNLESS OTHERWISE SHOWN ON THESE PVNS ALL WORK IS TO BE DONE IN
ACCORDANCE TO THE CITY OF IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO. 'STANDARD
SPECIFICATIONS - 1996', AS ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF REXBURG.
2. ALL WATER MHN UNE IS TO BE CUSS 51 DUCTILE IRON.
3. ALL SEWER MHN UNE PIPING IS TO BE ASTM D-3034 SDR 35.
4. 17 STORM DRAIN PIPE IS TO BE PJC RIEBED ASTM -794 46PS1.
5. MINIMUM COVER OVER WATER UNES IS 5 FEET.
6. ALL DISTANCES AND DATA SHALL BE CHECKED BY THE CONTRACTOR PRIOR
TO THE START OF CONSTRUCTION. IN CASE OF CONFLICT THE ENGINEER
SHAD. BE NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY SO THAT CLARIFICATION MAY BE MADE
PRIOR TO THE START OF WORK.
7. ELEVATIONS SHOWN ARE TO FINISHED SURFACE OR PIPE INVERT UNLESS
OTHERWISE NOTED.
8. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL RETAIN AND PROTECT OR REMOVE AND REPLACE
ALL LANDSCAPING, TREES, UTILITIES, DITCHES, CULVERTS, FENCES,
MAILBOXES, SIGNS, UGHTPOLES, HFADGATES, AND All OTHER
MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS. ANY DAMAGE DONE BY THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
BE REPAIRED AT HIS EXPENSE.
9. GENERAL LOCATIONS AND SIZES OF UTILITIES ARE SHOWN ON THE PIANS.
THEY ARE TO BE USED FOR GENERAL INFORMATION ONLY. R IS THE
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO NOTIFY THE APPROPRIATE
UTILITY COMPANIES WHEN CONSTRUCTION MIGHT INTERFERE WITH NORMAL
OPERATION OF ANY UTILITIES. R SHALL ALSO BE THE CONTRACTOR'S
RESPONSIBILITY TO HAVE THE APPROPRIATE UTILITY COMPANY FIELD -LOCATE
ANY UTILITY INSFAUATIONS WHICH MIGHT BE AFFECTED BY CONSTRUCTION
PRIOR TO BEGINNING WORK IN THAT AREA THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE
RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING SERVICE OF EXISTING UTILITIES AND
FOR RESTORING ANY UTILITIES DAMAGED DUE TO CONSTRUCTION AT NO
ADDIRONAL COST TO THE OWNER.
10. THERE SHALL BE A 10 FEET MINIMUM HORIZONTAL SEPARATION DISTANCE
BETWEEN ALL WATER LINES AND SEWER LINES EXCEPT WHERE WATER AND
SEWER UNES CROSS AT APPROXIMATELY RIGHT ANGLES, WHERE A MINIMUM
OF 1.5 FEET OF VERTICAL SEPARATION SHALL BE MAINTAINED,
11. THRUST BLOCKS SHALL BE PLACED AT ALL 01RECTION CHANGES IN THE
PRESSURE PIPE.
12. FIRE HYDRANTS SHALL HAVE TWO 2-1/7 OMMIETER HOSE NOZZLES, AND
ONE 4-1/7 DIAMETER HOSE NOZZLE.
13. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SECURING SOURCES FOR
GRANULAR MATERIAE. DISPOSAL SITES, AND ANY ADOMONAL MATERIALS
THAT MAY BE NECESSARY FOR PROPER CONSTRUCTION OF THIS PROJECT.
14. IT WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO MAKE
ARRANGEMENTS FOR WATER REQUIRED FOR TESTING, COMPACTION AND
DUST CONTROL MEASURES.
15. WHERE WORK IS PERFORMED ON EASEMENTS, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE
RY PRECAUTION TO ELIMINATE ANY ADVERSE EFFECTS ON TH
EVEE ADJACENT
PROPERTY.
16. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNING
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MANUAL OF UNIFORM TRAFFIC
CONTROL DEVICES.
17. PERMISSION SHALL BE OBTAINED FROM ALL CANAL
COMPANIES PRIOR TO DISTURBING ANY DITCH OR CANAL
