I was contacted this morning by M�'. Mike $ress�er of SteeiVision Cons#ruet�on concerning a
deviation from the foundation drawings which I prepared for the Pioneer Equipment building
being built in Rexburg. The deviation, as I understand, is as follows:
Page 4 of the foundation details (Column Foundation for Framelines 2 thru 5, Except.'E
& 4E) shows 4 continuous 45 bars going around the anchor bolts and across the bu'Id"'�g
to the opposite co1�.�rnn foundation. The detail shows these �bays below the 5'" slab and
below the top two #3 ties in the pier. fix. Bressler stated �ha� the bars were placed such
that the pop two #5 bars are actually above the top tie and the second two #S bars are
approximately 3" below the fop wies. In addition the contractoused #� ties instead of #-3
ties.
This deviation does not create any problems. As long as the tap tie is n.e"r the fop of the #5
vertical bars (w10thin 2-3 "), and the other 3 ties are spaced throughout the height of the pier, these
should be adequate lateral strength for the, pies. in fact, having the #5 cross -die bays near the top
of the pier is desirable. Use of #4 ties is also acceptable.

have identified the follo�g discrepancies:
1. The ADA parking requirements requ0

Public'Works Director regarding this issue.
3. The Sales Room (Equipment and Parts Display) exztmg does not meet the fz
diagonal rule for exit separation. Exit signs ars required in this room as well
as the Parts Storage doom. Please identify on plans.
4. Are all doors between the H-4 occupancy and the rest sof the building I
rated assemblies?
