. '7 BUILDING INSPECTION SEQUENCE
Type

ons: Foryin-side construction, from time to time the building official, upon
notification from the permit holder or his agent} shah make or cause to be made any necessary
inspections and shadl either approve that portion of the construction as completed or shall notify
the permit holder or his agent wherein the same fails to co.mply'with this code.
1 . LAYOUT: Lot corners slaked, staking in p Iace for building, prior to excavation.-
2. FOOTING. Commonly made alter, Pales or piers are set or trenches or basement
areas are excavated. Forms and horizontal reinforcing tied in place,
�.... ; vertical reinforcing cut and on jab site or tied in place.
3. FOUNDATIONINSPECTION:
The foundation 684ectibn shall included excavations dor thicken'ed slabs
intended for the -8b Oport of bearing walls, partitions, structurel supports, or,
equipment aQd special requirements for woad foundations. All forms and
reinforcing steel, etc., shall be in place.
4.1, PLUMBING, MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL:

before fixtures are set, and prior to framing inspection.
5_ TRUSS INSPECTION:
Inspections of trusses.
fi. FRAME INSPECTION:
Commonly made after the roof, all framing, firestopping, draftstopping and
bracing areEfn place and after the plumbing, mechanical and electrical
rough inspections are approved. (Electrical inspection performed thr'ou'gh
State of Idaho Electrical Bureau)
7. LATH AND/OR WALLBOARD INSPECTION:
Commonly made after all bathing a'nd'/or wallboard interior is in o1ace, but
before any plaster is apalied, yr before wallboard points and fasteners are
taped and finished.
8. FINAL PLUMBING AND HEATING INSPECTION:
Ali systems in place, fixtures set, ready for occupancy
9. SIDEWALK INSPECTIONS:
After forms are sed, prior to placing concrete.
10. FINAL INSPECTION:
Commonly made after the building is completed and ready for occupancy .
11. OCCUPANCY PERMIT-,
Issued when, on final inspection, building is ready to occupy.
12. OTHER INSPECTIONS:
In addition to the called inspections above, the building department may
make or require any other inspections to ascertain compliance with this
cads and;.other laws enforced by the bu�ld�ng department.

shall be maintained by the permit holder until the final inspection has been made and approved.
