BUILDING INSPECTIOUSEQUENCE
Type of Inspections: For �n-site construction, from time to time the building o#ficial, upon
notification from the permit holder or his. agent, shall make or cause to be made any necessary
inspections and shall either approve that portion of the construction as completed or shall notify
the permit holder or his agent wherein the same fails to comply with this code.
1. LAYOUT: Lot corners staked, staking in place for building, prior to excavation:
2. FOOTING&1 Commonly made after pokes or piers are sed or trenches or basement
areas ars excavated. Forms and horizontal reinforcing fiedin place,
vertical reinforcing cut and on jab site or tied in place.
3. FOUNDATION INSPECTION:
The foundation inspection shaft included excavations for thickened slab
intended for the support of bearing wails, partitions, structural supports, or
equipment and special requirements for wood foundations. All farms and
reinforcing steel, etc., shall be in place.
4. PLUMBING, MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL:
Rough inspection: Commonly made prior to covering or concealment,
before fixtures are set, and prior to framing inspection.
5. TRUSS INSPECTION:
Inspections of trusses.
6. FRAME INSPECTION:
Commonly made after the roof, all framing, firestopping, draftstoDping and
bracing are in place and after the plumbing, mechanical and electrical
rough inspections are approved. (Electrical inspecti-on performed through
State of Idaho Electrical Bureau}
7. LATH AND/OR WA.LLBOARD INSPECTION:
Commonly made after all lathing and/or wallboard inferior is in place, but
before any plaster is applied, or before wallboard points and fasteners are
taped and finished.
8. FINAL PLUMBING AND HEATING INSPECTION:
All �yste�ns in place, fixtures set, ready for occupancy

After farms are set, prior to placing concrete.
10. FINAL INSPECTIONO0
Commonly made after the building is completed and ready for occupancy .
11. OCCUPANCY PERMIT:
Issued when, on final inspection, buildingis ready to occupy.

In addition to the calked inspections above, the building department may
make or require any other inspections to ascertain compliancy with this
wide and other laws enforced by the building department.
INSPECTION CARD
The permit holder or his agent shall post the inspection record an the job site in an accessible
and conspicuous place to allow the building official to male the required entries. The record
shall be maintained by the permit holder until the final inspection has been made and aroved.
