BUILDING INSPECTION SEQUENCE
Type, of Inspections: For an -site construction, from time to #ime the building, official, uoan
notification from the permit holder or his agent, shall maks or cause to be made any necessary
inspections and shall ether approve that portion of the construction as campieted or shall notify
the pprmit holder or his agent wherein the same fails to comply with this code.

2. FOOTING- GommonJy made after poles or piers are set or trenches or basement
areas ars excavated. Forms and horizontal reinforcing fied in place,
vertical reinforcing c«t and on Job site or tied in place.

The foundation inspection shall included excavations for thickened slabs
intended for the support of bearing walls, partitionsI structural supports, or
equiQment and special requirements for wood foundations. All forms and
reinforcing steel, etc., shall be in place.
4. PLUMBING, MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL.aPLUMBING,
Baugh insoection: Commonly made prior to covering or concealment,
before fixtures are set, and prior to framing inspection.

Commonly made after the roof, all framing, firestopping, draftstopping and
bracing are in place and after the DIUmbing, mechanical and electrical
rough inspections are approved. (Electrical inspection performed through
State of Idaho Electrical Bureau)
LATH AND/OR WALLBOARD INSPECTION:
Commonly made after all lathing and/or wallboard interior is in place, but
before any plaster is applied, or before wallboard joints and fasteners are
taped and finished.
FINAL PLUMBING AND HEATING INSPECTION:
All systems in place, fixtures set, ready for occupancy
SIDEWALK INSPECTIONS:
After forms are set, prior to placing concrete.
FINAL INSPECTION:
Commonly made after the building is competed and ready for occupancy.
OCCUPANCY PERMIT:
issued when, on lino! inspection, building is ready to occupy.
OTHER INSPECTIONS:
In addition to the caged inspections above, the buildina dec)artment maw
maKe or require any other inspections to ascertain compfiarlce with this
code and other laws enforced by the building department.
INSPECTION CARD
The permit holder or his agent shall pQs# the insnection record on the job site in an accessible
and conspicuous place to allow the bUilding official to make the required entries. the record
shall be maintained by the permit holder until the final inspection has been mnrle rind oppra„ed.
