Planning and Zoning Commission
of the City of Rexburg, Idaho
Dear Chairman,
Rexburg is a fine city and we should work
to keep it that way.
Changes in zoning which do not maintain
the present standard in our residential
area can create problems now and in the
future.
Already we are confronted with conditions
of increased traffic and illegal speeding.
In an effort to preserve our area as a
desirable place in which to live, I
recommend that our area remain zoned for
Low Density Residential.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
1Lenore C. Passey

Re: Rezoning of lot on the North West Corner of P South and 2"d East in Rexburg, ID
To Whom It May Concern:
We oppose zoning of the above stated lot for the use of multi -dwelling occupants. There
are several reasons for the opposition:
I . The value of existing homes in the area will decrease.
2. The lot is so small that we feel there is not room for both adequate parking
and the complex, we already have students blocking part of our driveway
as they park on the street in front of our home.
3. We really don't have need in our city for additional housing. (It is our
understanding that there are about 800 unused beds for students at
present).
Please take into consideration our opposition!
Sincerely,
Richard & Teresa Western

We, the undersigned property owners do strongly
object to the rezoning of the property located on the
corner of 2nd East and 3rd South, from Low Density
Residential to Medium Density Residential for the
purpose of allowing multi -housing to be built. Because
of the proximity of the neighborhood to Ricks College,
on the street parking is already a problem in our
neighborhood. Multi -housing construction would add to
the congestion and limitation of parking space. Already
we are having problems of us and our visitors parking in
front of our own homes. The increase in traffic
generated by multi -housing would pose a safety hazard
for pedestrians. Such rezoning will reduce the value of
our property and infringe on the privacy and family
atmosphere of our neighborhood.
