HomeMy WebLinkAboutFOF - Reed, Glen - 450 S 4th W - Rezone from HBD to HDRFINDINGS OF FACT FOR ZONE CHANGE FOR GLEN REED On July 26, 2000, Glen Reed appeared before the Planning & Zoning Commission for the City of Rexburg with a proposed zone change at 4' South and 4`h West from HBD to HDR. This request was recommended and approved to go to Public Hearing. 2. On July 31, 2000, Glen Reed presented to the Rexburg City Clerk an Application for Rezoning together with the appropriate fee for property located at approximately 451 So. 4'h West. The request was for property to be rezoned from HBD to HDR. 3. On July 31, 2002, the City Clerk sent for publication the Notice of Public Hearing for a hearing before the Planning & Zoning Commission on August 23, 2000 and before the City Council on September 6, 2000, to be published in the local newspaper on August 2, 2000, and August 30, 2000, posted a notice on the property and sent notices to all property owners within 300 feet of the above mentioned property. 4. On August 23, 2000, a Public Hearing was held before the Planning & Zoning Commission. One person appeared with a concern of the increased traffic. It was suggested there would not be any more traffic generated with apartments than if a business were to locate on this property. It was recommended by Planning & Zoning that the zone change request from HBD to HDR be approved and sent to public hearing before the City Council. 5. On September 6, 2000, a Public Hearing was held before the City Council concerning a zone change on property located at 371 So. 4`h West from Highway Business District (HBD) to High Density Residential (HDR). There was no public comment. It was moved and approved that on the recommendation of Planning & Zoning this property be zoned as High Density Residential (HDR). Stephen Zollinger, City Attorney
