HomeMy WebLinkAboutFOF - Eaglewood Enterprises - 700 S 300 E - Rezone from MDR to HDRFINDINGS OF FACT FOR ZONE CHANGE FOR EAGLEWOOD ENTERPRISES On November 3, 2000, Keith Romney of Eaglewood Enterprises presented to the Rexburg City Clerk a Request and Application for Zone Change for property located on the corner of 700 South and 300 East in the City of Rexburg, said property to be changed from MDR (Medium Density Residential) to HDR (High Density Residential) for the purpose of building student apartments. 2. On November 15, 2000, Keith Romney appeared before the Planning & Zoning Commission for the City of Rexburg requesting zone change of said property from MDR to HDR. It was recommended that this request should go to public hearing. 3. On November 20, 2000, the City Clerk sent the Notice of Public Hearing for publication in the local newspaper, posted a notice on the property and sent notices to all property owners within 300 feet of the above mentioned property. 4. On December 13, 2000, Keith Romney from Eaglewood Enterprises appeared before the Planning & Zoning Commission for the City of Rexburg requesting a zone change from MDR to HDR on property located on the comer of 7" South and 3' East. There were some comments from adjacent apartment owners as to opening date, size of complex and a saturation market of apartments. There was no opposition expressed concerning this zone change. It was recommend by Planning & Zoning that this request be approved for public hearing before the City Council. 5. On December 14, 2000, the City Clerk published the Notice of Public Hearing in the local newspaper, posted a notice on the property and sent notices to all property owners within 300 feet of the above mentioned property. 6. Keith Romney appeared before the City Council of the City of Rexburg requesting a zone change on property located at the corner of 7' South and 3`d East from MDR to HDR. There were comments from the public with regards to increased traffic, safety, future roads and property values but no other opposition to the requested zone change.
