strength bolting and any welding prior to start of
construction. The clerestory wall connection
(Detail 5 on Sheet S4.1) to roof identifies a 2x
bottom plate being nailed close to its edge with
16p nails at 6" o.c. The framers ability to make
this connection without splitting the 2x is
questionable to the Building Official. Please
design a framing clip to transfer any loads.
Sheet SO.1 requires a geotechnical report.
