ZONE CHANGE FOR THE CITY OF REXBURG
1. On February 21, 2001, the City of Rexburg presented to the Rexburg City Clerk an
Application for Zone Change on property located at 350 W. 7`h South, in the City of
Rexburg, said property to be changed from Medium Density Residential (MDR) to High
Density Residential for the purpose of making this parcel of land in zoning compliance
with adjacent property.
2. On February 28, 2001, John Millar, Public Facilities Director for the City of Rexburg
appeared before the Planning & Zoning Commission for the City of Rexburg requesting
a zone change of said property from MDR to HDR. It was recommended that this
request go to public hearing.
3. On March 1, 2001, the City Clerk sent the Notice of Public Hearing to be published in
the local newspaper on March 7 and 21, 2001, posted a notice on the property and sent
notices to all property owners within 300 feet of the above mentioned property.
4. On March 28, 2001, John Millar, Public Facilities Director for the City of Rexburg,
appeared before the Planning & Zoning Commission for the City of Rexburg requesting a
zone change from MDR to HDR on property located 350 W. r South. There was public
comment concerning the ditch running through the property and the nightmare it would
be if the ditch were taken out. It was stated that the ditch would not be taken out. There
was no opposition expressed concerning this zone change. It was recommended by
Planning & Zoning that this request be approved for public hearing before the City
Council.
5. On March 28, 2001, the City Clerk sent the Notice of Public Hearing to be published in
the local newspaper on April 2 and 11, 2001, posted a notice on the property and sent
notices to all property owners within 300 feet of the above mentioned property.
6. John Millar, Public Facilities Director for the City of Rexburg appeared before the City
Council of the City of Rexburg on April 18, 2001, requesting a zone change on property
located at 350 W. 7`h South from MDR to HDR. There was no public comment. It was
moved the Council take the recommendation of Planning & Zoning and approve the
requested zone change making it in zoning compliance with surrounding property.
