HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING NOTICE - 05-00040 - Rexburg Motor Sports - AnnexationRezoneNOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a Public Hearing will be held before the Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of Rexburg, Idaho, Thursday, April 07t'2 2004, at 8:00 p.m., in the City Council Chambers of the City Building at 12 North Center, Rexburg, Idaho, regarding annexation of properties at 975 South 12thWest. The proposed zone change is from Highway Business District (HBD) to Community Business Center (CBC). These properties are located between at the intersection of University Boulevard and 12th West within the Rexburg City Area of Impact, Madison County, Idaho, and are described as follows on the Annexation Map dated September 15, 2004: The annexation area includes two parcels lying north of University Boulevard. Water and sewer services will need to be extended to the annexation parcels. Future road development will be as per the City transportation plan as coordinated with Madison County. These two parcels are petitioned annexations. The proposed Rexburg City zoning for these parcels is: Community Business Center (CBC) The Legal description for the parcels is as follows: Beginning at the SW Corner of the SW 1/ of the NW 1/ of section 36, Township 6 North, Range 39 East of the B.M. Madison County, Idaho, and running thence north along the section line 561 feet; thence east for a distance of 454 feet; thence south 238 feet; thence west 245.95 feet; thence south 323 feet; thence west 208.95 feet to the point of beginning. At such hearing the Planning & Zoning Commission will hear all persons and all objections and recommendations relative to such proposed approval. The City Clerk will also accept written comments at City Hall prior to 4:00 p.m. on April 06, 2005. Kay, City Clerk CITY OF REXBURG ANIERICA'S FAMILY COWvWNI Y COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT 19 EAST MAIN STREET 2005 ANNEXATION PLAN April 07, 2005 In accordance with Idaho Code Title 50-222, 5.a.b.iii, the City provides the following information pertaining to the parcels shown and numbered on the attached map (Attachment A): In accordance with Idaho Code Title section 67-6511A, The City will require or permit as a condition of rezoning that an owner or developer makes a written commitment (DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT) concerning the use or development of the subject parcel. It is proposed that the City of Rexburg would annex an area located west of Hwy 20 and north of University Blvd (adjacent to 12th West) into the City. The area has been petitioned for annexation by the property owners. The extension of infrastructure to this area has already been started and/or completed and the City anticipates servicing all new developments in the area with municipal services as soon as is practicable. Water service is already available east of Hwy 20 adjacent to the property. Water and Sewer services have been extended south to Golden Beauty Drive east of the petitioned properties. Parcels included in this plan are as per the map labeled as "Attachment A". (a) Tax supported municipal services to be provided to this newly annexed area include police, fire and other city services including snow removal, public works and planning and zoning services. (b) Changes in the rate of taxation are described on the attached flyer "Annexation in the Citv of Rexburg" (c) Fee supported City services, including water and sewer are approximately 2,000 ft to the east of the parcels for water and 3,500 feet to the north for sewer. (d) There is very little impact to other local government taxing districts outside of the Fire Protection District. This impact is approximately $60.04 per $120,000 of taxable value.
