FOR
ZONE CHANGE FOR WESTATES COMPANIES
On February 20, 2002, Stan Rowlan on behalf of Westates Companies presented to the
Rexburg City Clerk a Request and Application for Zone Change on property located at 74'
South and Old Hwy 191 in the City of Rexburg, said property to be changed from
Highway Business District to High Density Residential for the purpose of building
townhouses or apartments.
2. On February 27, 2002, Stan Rowlan appeared before the Planning & Zoning Commission
for the City of Rexburg requesting a zone change on said property from Highway Business
District (HBD) to High Density Residential (HDR). It was recommended that this
request should go to public hearing.
On March 6, 2002, the City Clerk sent the Notice for a Public Hearing before the
Planning & Zoning Commission on March 27, 2002, for publication in the local newspaper
on March 8 and March 20, 2002, posted a notice on the property and sent notices to all
property owners within 300 feet of the above mentioned property.
4. On March 27, 2002, Stan Rowlan appeared before the Planning & Zoning Commission for
the City of Rexburg requesting a zone change on property located at 7' South and Old
Hwy 191 from Highway Business District (HBD) to High Density Residential (HDR).
There was no opposition expressed concerning this zone change. It was recommended by
Planning & Zoning that this zone change request from HDB to HDR of Lot 2 Block 3 of
Westates Subdivision be approved for public hearing before the City Council.
5. On March 28, 2002, the City Clerk sent Notice of Public Hearing for a public hearing
before the City Council on April 17, 2002, for publication in the local newspaper, posted a
notice on the property and sent notices to all property owners within 300 feet of the above
mentioned property.
6. John Millar appeared before the City Council of the City of Rexburg indicating that a
request had been made for a zone change on property located at 7' South and Old Hwy
191 from Highway Business District (HBD) to High Density Residential (HDR). There
was no public comment or opposition to the requested zone change. It was moved and
approved that the Council take the recommendation of Planning & Zoning and approve
the requested zone change to High Density Residential (HDR).
