FOR
ZONE CHANGE
1. On June 19� 2002, Randy Webb, representing De Jones, presented to the Rexburg City
Clerk a Request and Application for Zone Change on property located west of 549 South
1500 West (Pioneer Road) in the City of Rexburg, said property to be changed from
Medium Density Residential (MDR) to High Density Residential (HIDA).
2. On June 26`", 2002, Randy Webb appeared before the Planning & Zoning Commission for
the City of Rexburg requesting a zone change of said property from MDR to HDR. It
was recommended that this request should go to public hearing.
On July 16`s, 2002, the City Clerk sent the Notice of Public Hearing to be published in the
local newspaper on July 17' and July 29' 2002. A notice was posted on the property and
sent to all property owners within 300 feet of the above mentioned property.
4. On August 1't, 2002, Randy Webb, representing De Jones (owner), appeared before the
Planning & Zoning Commission for the City of Rexburg requesting a zone change from
MDR to HDR on property located west of 549 South 1500 West. There were several
neighbors from the area there to express their concern and opposition to this zone change
noting that the property was just recently changed to MDR and feeling that there should
be at least a year between zone changes. Upon review of the recent zone change to MDR
the Commission moved to deny the request for a zone change from MDR to HDR. The
motion carried. The request was denied.
