FOR
ANNEXATION AND ZONE CHANGE
1. On February 6, 2002, John Millar presented to the Rexburg City Clerk a Request and
Application for Annexation and Zone Change on property located at approximately 786
So. 1500 West in the City of Rexburg, said property to be annexed and changed from
Rural Residential (RR) to Medium Density Residential (MDR).
2. On February 13, 2002, John Millar appeared before the Planning & Zoning Commission
for the City of Rexburg requesting annexation and zone change on said property located
at 786 So. 1500 West from Rural Residential (RR) to Medium Density Residential
(MDR). It was recommended that this request should go to public hearing.
On February 19, 2002, the City Clerk sent the Notice of Public Hearing for a public
hearing before the Planning & Zoning Commission on March 13, 2002, for publication
in the local newspaper on February 25, 2002 and March 6, 2002, posted a notice on the
property and sent notices to all property owners within 300 feet of the above mentioned
property.
4. On March 13, 2002, John Millar appeared before the Planning & Zoning Commission for
the City of Rexburg requesting annexation and a zone change from Rural Residential
(RR) to Medium Density Residential (MDR) on property located at 786 So. 1500 West.
There was one written comment in opposition to the change. It was moved by Planning
& Zoning that this request be approved for public hearing before the City Council with a
recommendation for annexation and zone change to Medium Density Residential
(MDR).
5. On February 25, 2002, the City Clerk sent the Notice of Public Hearing for a public
hearing before the City Council on March 20, 2002, for publication in the local
newspaper on March 1, 2002, and March 13, 2002, posted a notice on the property and
sent notices to all property owners within 300 feet of the above mentioned property.
6. On March 20, 2002, John Millar appeared before the City Council of the City of Rexburg
requesting annexation and zone change from Rural Residential (RR) to Medium Density
Residential (MDR) on property located at 786 So. 1500 West. There was no opposition
to the annexation and zone change. It was moved and unanimously approved that the
Council take the recommendation of Planning & Zoning and approve the requested
annexation and zone change.
