As requested I have reviewed the structural design for the Avonlea Apartments project with respect
to the 2003 International Building Code. T4s you are aware the original design was under the 2000
International Building Code. For this building the designs for both the gravity and the lateral (wind
and seismic) remain the same. Consequently the structural design satisfactorily meets the 20U3
International Building Cade.
There is however minor miscellaneous changes including code reference changes that G&S
Structural Engineers has since implemented into our structural notes that appear on your drawings.
If left unchanged the only confusion that may result is the code references, as they all reference the
2000 E BC.
If there are any questions or if f can be of further assistance ;please don't hesitate to contact me.
