Ordinance 975 coupled with the fact that the original site pian for Avonlea was approved. at a time when the car to tenant parking radio was .7 versus the current 1 seems to offer the basis for compromise. We would like to be able to build the building as proposed which would be three stories that match the existing nine-plea. If necessarv, we are wiling to reduce the size to two stories and therefore two thirds of the tenant capacity. However, the redaction in cosi is not proportionate to the reduction in sire. You will be interested to know the fallowing are the actual data on the percentage. of tenants that have brought carp over the past several semesters without us placing any cap on parking. We have simply allowed anyone to bring a car that chose to. Therefore, 1 am confident we can manage parking levels. to meet the needs of nur students and not create a burden for the City of Rexburg.
