The business to the east of my apartment complex park their cars to the curb.
The tenants in the apartments to the west park their cars to the curb. I am
making a request to allow my tenants to park in my set back, twenty-five
feet from the curb. Per my approved plans, my set back is asphalt. If this
request is granted it will allow me to have one 30 foot wide driveway into
my complex instead of two 22 foot wide driveways. It will allow me to have
10 feet of landscaping in front of my buildings; otherwise I will have to put
my sidewalks right next to my buildings. Since there will be one 30 foot
wide driveway instead of two 22 foot wide driveways, I will pick up 4
additional parking spaces. Mr. Huskinson thinks this plan is better since it
allows more room to maneuver fire trucks if there is a fire.
