Main Floor - Provide h bay and where the Slom'pson STHDSRJ hold downs at each end of the Family raam windQx,,{,r walk and each side of each window in the wall. 4. Second Floor - Provide Simpson C5 16 hold dawns at each carer of each bay and where the bay meets the house. 5. Second Floor - Provide.Simpson. CS 16 strap hold downs at each side of openings and no more than 48" o.c. on all walls over 9 feet tall. Center on top plate between floors. 6. All exterior framed walls are 2x6 @ 16" o.c. and are shear walls. Provide 7116" APA rated sheathing with Sd nails at 4"o.c. at panel edges and. 12" o.c, in the field. Blocking i's required at all pane. edges. Wall between the garage and Iivxng space is designated a shear wall. 7. Sheathing shall be placed on both sides of all clear story �vai�.s over 9� feet fall. Nailing'shall he as noted in xtem 6 above. Provide (3) 1.75x9.25 LVL framing between windows, vertical and horizontal. Vertical LVL shall be continuous. Sheathing shah extend from bottom plate to top plate and lap LVLioints a minimum of 24"'. ]Provide (20) 10 nails at 2" a.c. at sheathing joints equally spaced on each side of the joint. 8.
