Provide male and female accessible restrooms
on the ground floor.
Identify exit signs and emergency lighting.
One hour fire walls and a rated floor must be
created to seperate the storage roam from the
rest of the building (including existing walls).
The upper windows must he either rated or
removed. Rated doors are required.
Sheet A identifies that "all interior frame walls
are designated shear walls". Does this include
the existing frame walls? Has the engineer
reviewed the portions of the existing building
that were framed and drywalled previously
without engineering design? Unless the
engineer directs otherwise, the existing walls
must be considered shear walls as per the
engineer's direction and constructed as shown
on pans. As per our discussion with the-
project
heprojeCt coordiantor, the Engineer was to
evaluate the existing construction for code
compliance (including structural). The letter
submitted by the engineer does not address
structural Gomplaance. The structural
docements indicate that "dight -frame" design
was used for this building. Section 23U8.2 (3.)
of the IBC restricts the use of light frame design
