Dui Insulation:

Duct Construction;
Dust connections to ffange,s of air distribution system equipment must be sealed and mechanically fistened.
All joints, seams, and connections must be securely fastened with welds, gaskets, mastics (adhesives),
mastic plus -embedded -fabric, yr tabes. Tapes and mastics must be rated UL 181A or LTL 181B.
Exception: Continuously welded and locking -type longitudinal joints and seams an ducts
operating at less than 2 in. w.g. (S(30 Pa).
The HVAC system must provide a means br balancing air and water systems.
Temperature Controls:
Thermostats are required for each dwelling unit (non-dwellIng areas must have one thermostat for
each system or zany). A manual or automatic means to partially restrict or shut affthe heating
and/or cooling input to each rooms shall be provided.
Electric Systems:
Separate electric meters are required fDr each dwelling unit.
Service Water Heating:
Water heaters with verticai pipe risers must have a hest trap on beth the inlet and outlet unless the
water heater has an integral heat trap or is Bart of circulating system.
Insulate circulating hot water pipes to the bevels in T able 1.
Circulating Hot Water Systems:
Insulate circulating bot water pipes to the levels in Table 1_
Swimming Pools:
All heatodWswimming pools must have an an/o$'heatersitch and require a coverunless over 20%,
of the heating energy is from non-depletable sflurces. Pool pumps require a time cloak.
Heating and CaoIng Piping Insulation -
HVAC piping conveying fluids above 105 °F or chided quids below 55 OF must be insulal:ed to the
levels in Table 2.
