modified by using a Sprinkler system.
All back to back fixtures ars required to be

and vents are required to be tested and
inspected before covering.

The upper level conferance room requires two
means of egress and panic hardware on the
doors. Provide exit lights and emergency
lighting in the classroom an the 1st leve! and
emergency fighting in the upper ievel lobby and
the conferance room. Some of the exit signs
on the upper bevel da not point in the direction of
the closest or most logical exit.
Doors to stair structure must be rated.
Identify on plans a water resistive barrier on
exterior walls as per 1113C Section 1404. identify
masonry flashing and weepholes as per l'BC
Section 1405.3.
1. A tfaad elevation certificate is required prior
to obtaining a Building Permit.
2. Please provide sructurai calculations.
3. Provide a Fetter from the Special Inspections
firm that identifies all inspections and their
frequency that they are under contract to
perform.
4. The Structural Drawing Notes on page S1 of
the drawings identifies that no concrete special
inspections are required. This is incorrect.
Special inspecions are required for the
foundation walls. At completion of structural
steel fabrication a report from the fabricator is
required as per IBC Section 1704.2.2.
5. Identify haw roof top mechanical units are to
be connected so they meet the requirements of
IBC Section 1621.
6. A soil report is mentioned by the structural
engineer. Provide a ropy of the repot#.

As, per Section 1106.1 of the 2003 I nternativna!
Building Code (IBC), 4 handicapped spaces are
required. The 19'wide aisle at the northeast
side of the building does not meet the width
requirements for two-way traffic.
Sidewalk is not shown along the street. Also
please provide an accessible route as per IAC
Section 1104.3 from the building to the public
right-of-way without using the driveways.

Plans show one hydrant an southeast side of
building lot and one on the corner of 3rd East
and nth North. For Type V -B construction with a
full fire suppression system an additional
hydrant will be required. (Based on 33,677 sq.
feet}
Site pian shows Phase One and Phase Two.
Are both phases going to be completed at the
same time or will there be a delay between the
construction phases? Phase One details an
addition to the parking lot (for the existing
structure) which would require a fire apparatus
turn -around as it exceeds 150 feet.
The perking lot on the easy side of Phase
Two sows a narrowing of the access to 1,9
feet, the minimum requirment is 20 feet.
Additionally, a fire apparatus turn -around is
required as it exceeds the 150 foot mark.
Fire lane signage and red curb paintingwill be
required on the east side and the front of the
new building. Fire lane signage also required on
east side of parking lot of existing structure_
