The fallowing comments refer to the house plan referenced above. All hold dawns shall be installed as
required by the manufacturer.
1. All exterior framed walls are 2x6 16" ox. and are shear walls. Provide 1/2" APA rated sheathing
with Sd nails at 4" o.c. at paned edges and 12" n.c.1n the field. Blocking is required at all panel
edges.
2. Provide Simpson STHD14 at each side of each garage door.
3. The Great Room window wall shall be balloon framed as follows-, Provide (3) 1,75x I 1.875LVL
vertically at each corner of the wail (1c)ng side parallel with the window wall). Connect these
LVLs to the concrete foundation wall using Simpson HDTOA hold downs an each side of the LVL.
Provide (3) 1.75xl 1.875 LVL headers above each window set (long side vertical). Connect
horizontal LVL headers to vertical LVLs with 114"x 11. 7I$" steel plates on each side of tie walI
with (4) �/�" A307 bolts with Tock washers and nuts on each side of thej'oint. Bolts shall be spaced
4" away from thejoint and 4"' on center minimum in two roars G" apart, one top of the plate and
the ocher at the, bottom of the plate,,
