ROUGH -IN TRADES PRE -INSTALLATION AGENDA
March 15, 2006

2. CONTRACTS (Chad Richards)
a. Contract Review
b. Additional work to be performed as a change order must be approved by
Jacobsen Construction's Project Manager PRIOR to start of work. T&M
tickets must be signed by JCC personnel and turned in each day.
4. SCHEDULE (Sam Moss)
3. PRE -INSTALLATION ITEMS (Sam Moss)
a. Protocol to be followed when a condition requires a variance from the contract
documents. Engineer must be consulted before proceeding and documented
in writing with a formal RFI.
b. All loose ends and pick-up items must be completed in a timely manner so
that other trades can work unobstructed.
c. Subcontractor to schedule inspections and testing whether city / state / special
inspector — then inform JCC Superintendent.
d. Rough -In Coordination — coordination between trades, space and access
requirements, architect cover up notice.
e. Quality Assurance / Quality Control Programs & Monitoring
f. Comments from Architectural Nexus and their consultants.
4. RED LINE DRAWINGS & PROJECT CLOSEOUT (Andrew Wolford)
a. Must be updated on weekly basis before monthly payment is released.
b. As-builts kept in P.M. office (city stamped set).
c. Have City sign drawings in PM office when inspections are completed.
5. COMMUNICATION (Andrew Wolford)
a. All questions and RFI's need to be sent to Jacobsen Construction in written
format immediately with a suggested solution.
b. Subcontractors should not communicate with Architect, Owner, or
Consultants unless specifically directed to do so by Jacobsen.
c. Submittal Requirements — no substitutions, double check onsite that materials
conform to approved submittals, etc.
d. Partial Submittals — Consultant preferences
6. SAFETY (Sam Moss)
a. Jacobsen Construction follows all OSHA requirements and in some cases
exceeds OSHA requirements.
b. Personal protection includes
i. Hardhats
ii. Long paints, sleeved shirts
iii. Safety glasses / face shields where required
c. Fall protection program in place. Fall protection is required for anyone
exposed to a fall more than 6 feet above a lower level.
d. All extension ladders must extend above platform and be tied off.
e. Equipment / power tool safety — Safety guards working and in place.
f. Power chords in safe condition.
g. Foul language and offensive clothing will not be tolerated. Be professional in
our conduct.
h. Use of tobacco products will not be allowed on site (including inside
vehicles). No sunflower seeds will be allowed inside the building structure.
i. No music radios on site.
j. Cleaning responsibilities — Managed by JCC. Clean-up daily.
k. On -site project manager shall be equipped with a two-way radio that is on the
same frequency for as JCC personnel.
