NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND THE ZONING
MAP FOR THE CITY OF REXBURG
Public Hearing: May 6, 2021 at 6:35 P.M. to be held before the Rexburg Planning and Zoning
Commission at 35 N 1st E, Rexburg, Madison County, Idaho (#21 00189) to rezone land adjacent to
approximately 2332 West 2000 South parcel #RPRXBCA0359006 from Low Density Residential 2
(LDR2) to Medium Density Residential 2 (MDR2) and adjust the west border of the Community
Business Center (CBC) zone of this parcel approximately fifty feet (50’) east to expand the proposed
Medium Density Residential 2 (MDR2) zone in the City of Rexburg, Madison County, Idaho.
Legal description of each proposed zone:
Low Density Residential 2 (LDR2)
Beginning at a point that is S89°56'33"W 1329.12 feet from the southeast corner of Section 35,
Township 6 North, Range 39 East of the Boise Meridian, Madison County, Idaho; and running
thence S89°56'33"W 1301.37 feet along said south section line; thence N00°22'56"W 1307.89 feet;
thence N89°47'04"E 1310.10 feet; thence S00°00'00"E 1311.48 feet to the point of beginning.
Containing 39.258 acres.
Medium Density Residential 2 (MDR2)
Beginning at a point that is S89°56'33"W 810.00 feet from the southeast corner of Section 35,
Township 6 North, Range 39 east of the Boise Meridian, Madison County, Idaho; and running
thence S89°56'33"W 519.12 feet along said south section line; thence N00°00'00"E 1311.48 feet;
thence N89°47'04"E 519.12 feet; Thence S00°00'00”E 1312.91 feet to the point of beginning.
Containing 15.636 acres.
Community Business Center (CBC)
Beginning at a point that is S89°56'33"W 303.19 feet from the southeast corner of Section 35,
Township 6 North, Range 39 east of the Boise Meridian, Madison County, Idaho; and running
thence S89°56'33"W 506.81 feet along said south section line; thence N00°00'00"E 1312.91 feet;
thence N89°47'04"E 333.72 feet; thence S00°24'17"E 516.00 feet; thence N89°11'44"E 467.00 feet;
thence S00°24'18"E 442.08 feet; thence S89°35'42"W 307.38 feet; thence S01°04'25"E 360.06 feet to
the point of beginning. Containing 16.258 acres.
At such hearing the Planning and Zoning Commission will hear all persons and all objections and
recommendations relative to such proposed permits. The City Clerk will also accept written
comments at City Hall prior to 4:00 p.m. on May 5, 2021. This notice is given pursuant to the
provisions of Section 67-6508, 67-6509 and 67-6511 Idaho Code, and all amendments thereof.
