Section 508.3.2.2 Of the 2006 IBC states the
following: "The allowable area and height of the
building or portion thereof shall be based on the
most restrictive allowances for the occupancy
groups under construction for the type of
construction of the building..." The most
resctrictive height requirements for this building
is three stories. This requirement is found in
Table 503 under A-2 and A-3 as a two story
allowable height. With sprinklers the allowable
height is raised to three stories. Nonseperated
mixed use is not allowed under these
conditions. Seperate the occupancies as per
Table 508.3.3. Provide details.
Glazing in the pool area must be safety type.
Provide energy review..
Provide details that identify how steel beams
and columns are being fire rated as per Table
601. Fire barriers are required between
different occupancies as per Table 508.3.3.
Provide details and rated doors. Rated doors
must be self closing.
Meets code requirements.
Special inspections are required for concrete
foundation, high strength bolting, sprayed on fire
proofing, and any structural fill. Please provide
letter from the firm that will be providing these
services. Also please provide truss details and
soils report.
