Building Code Fire Compliance Review City Comments Provide details that identify how steel beams and columns are being fire rated as per Table 601. Fire barriers are required between different occupancies as per Table 508.3.3. Provide details and rated doors. Rated doors must be self closing. Architects Response Details identifying how steel beams and columns are being fire rated as per Table 601 can be found on Architectural sheets 300 thru 306b, also additional details can be found on Architectural Sheets 540, 550, 551, 553, & 554, see these sheets for fire rated steel. Fire barriers have been added to the first level to separate different occupancies as per Table 508.3.3. See Architectural Sheets 101, 101a, & 10 lb for this change to the plan. All Fire Rated doors have been updated to include self closing devises to comply with this code requirement. Structural Review City Comments Special inspections are required for concrete foundation, high strength bolting, sprayed on fire proofing, and any structural fill. Please provide letter from the firm that will providing these services. Also please provide truss details and soils report. Architects Response Inspections will be coordinated with Richardson Van Leeuwen Construction as per required by City official. Also Truss Details will be given to the City when drawings are submitted by Manufacturer.
