NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TO AMEND THE DEVELOPMENT CODE
FOR THE CITY OF REXBURG
Public Hearing: March 4, 2021 at 6:40 pm to be held before the Rexburg Planning and Zoning
Commission (#21 00074) to amend the current DEVELOPMENT CODE (Ordinance 1200) for
the City of Rexburg.
It is proposed to amend the current DEVELOPMENT CODE concerning substantive and
non-substantive items. All proposed modifications to the DEVELOPMENT CODE may be
substantive changes amending Development Code Ordinance No.1200 (by section) are
delineated below:
PROPOSED CHANGES TO THE DEVELOPMENT CODE CHAPTER 5
COMBINED USE ZONES MIXED USE (MU)
Amend 5.01.010 Purpose and Objectives Commercial element requirements
Amend 5.01.020 Permitted Uses
Amend 5.01.080 Density Removal of all requirements except housing density
Amend 5.01.090 Yard Requirement Front yard requirements for commercial, residential,
landscaping, townhouse, utility fixtures, and parking spaces. PED setbacks removed
Amend 5.01.110 Sidewalk Access All projects located within Mixed Use zone will meet sidewalk
access requirements
Amend 5.01.130 Parking and Loading Removal of townhouses from requirements.
At such hearing the Planning and Zoning Commissionwill hear all persons and all objections and
recommendations relative to such proposed permits. The City Clerk will also accept written
comments at City Hall prior to 4:00 p.m. on March 3, 2021. This notice is given pursuant to the
provisions of Section 67-6508, 67-6509 and 67-6511 Idaho Code, and all amendments thereof.
