Powder River Development Services, LLC is pleased to submit this Tower Analysis Report for the
proposed site modifications, at the above-referenced site.
This structural analysis was performed to address the adequacy of the existing tower to safely
support the existing/proposed loading. Based on the governing load case listed within this
report, we have determined that the tower structure is:
Existing + Proposed Equipment Tower Structurally Adequate (46.6%)
Note: See Analysis Criteria for loading configuration Foundation Structurally Adequate
This structural review has been performed in accordance with the TIA-222 Standard, ASCE 7,
and the International Building Code. These results are based on the existing loads with the
proposed loading as listed within this report. Should the design criteria, proposed loading or
configuration change, the tower should be re-analyzed based on the new proposed
configuration.
Based on the attached scope of work the existing tower was analyzed to determine its
structural adequacy for the proposed loading.

1.0 Introduction
1.1 Project Scope:
Powder River Development Services, LLC has performed a Tower Analysis for an existing
monopole tower at the above-referenced location. The tower analysis results are provided in the
“Analysis Results” section of this report.
1.2 Site Description:
The proposed equipment will be mounted
to a proposed 14’ Low-profile platform
mount [RMQLP-xxx-HK / RMQLP-xxx +
PRK1245L + HRK14] on an existing 50’
monopole tower located in Madison
County, Idaho. Information for the three
proposed sectors was obtained from the
documents listed in Section 3. Refer to
the loading table in Section 2 for details
of the antennas and associated
equipment.
2.0 Analysis Criteria
2.1 Code Compliance:
The tower was analyzed in conformance
with the following criteria:
• 2015 International Building Code
• ASCE 7
• TIA 222-G

2.2 Loading and Analysis Criteria:
The following loading criteria is based on the listed RFDS sheets as listed in Table 3.1. Table
below represents the final proposed sector breakdown for all loading by the carrier for this
installation. In the event there is conflicting information between the RFDS and the to date photos,
assumptions for analysis will be noted below Table 2.2.

3.0 Analysis Procedure
3.1 Documentation:
This tower analysis was performed based on the following information, and written direction from
the client regarding the final antenna elevations
3.2 Analysis Method:
Mathcad, Microsoft Excel, and TNX Tower, three commercially available computational software
packages, were used to analyze a three-dimensional structural model of the tower for the proposed
new equipment. Select output from the analysis is included in Appendix B.
3.3 Assumptions:
1) This Structural Analysis is not a condition assessment of the structure nor the anchorage and is
only an evaluation of the theoretical structural capacity.
2) This analysis is based from the information supplied, and therefore, this report’s results are as
accurate as the supplied data.
3) All member connections are assumed to have been designed to meet or exceed the load carrying
capacity of the connected member unless otherwise specified in this report.
4) It is the contractor/carrier/owner’s responsibility to verify that no discrepancies exist between
actual field conditions and those assumptions listed herein.
5) The use of this report shall be limited to the above-referenced scope of work and may not be
used for any other purposes without the written consent of Powder River Development Services,
LLC.
6) Serviceability (antenna twist, tilt, sway, etc.) was not included as part of this analysis.
7) The structure/hardware were properly installed, in accordance with the manufacturer’s
specifications and/or industry standards, and has been maintained such that no significant wear,
weathering or other structural defects are present that would reduce the structural integrity of the
assembly.
8) Steel grades have been assumed as follows:
a) Channel, Solid Round, Angle, Plate ASTM A36 (GR 36)
b) HSS (Rectangular) ASTM 500 (GR B-46)
c) HSS (Round) ASTM 500 (GR B-42)
d) Pipe ASTM A53 (GR 35)
e) Connection Bolts ASTM A325
f) U-Bolts SAE 429 Gr.2

9) Rad centers of antennas are based off centers shown on construction drawings and RFDS. If
these heights differ from actual locations, the actual locations should be provided to the engineer
for reanalysis. Contractor to field verify this information.
10) Foundation reactions from Sabre Industry Foundation Design dated 7/9/2013 provided in
Anderson Engineering Company Analysis dated 1/24/2018 were utilized for comparison to the
proposed reactions and considered adequate due to a reduction.
This analysis may be affected if any assumptions are not valid or have been made in error. Powder
River Development Services, LLC should be notified immediately should any discrepancies between
these assumptions and actual field conditions be discovered.
4.0 Analysis Results
Table 4.1 below contains the analysis summary for the major structural components (see Appendix
B for additional information).
Based on the above analysis results, the tower has adequate strength capacity to provide support
for the proposed loading as described in this report and criteria listed in Section 2.0.

Tower Input Data
The tower is a monopole.
This tower is designed using the TIA-222-G standard.
The following design criteria apply:
Tower is located in Madison County, Idaho.
Basic wind speed of 90 mph.
Structure Class II.
Exposure Category C.
Topographic Category 3.
Crest Height 864.00 ft.
Nominal ice thickness of 0.2500 in.
Ice thickness is considered to increase with height.
Ice density of 56 pcf.
A wind speed of 50 mph is used in combination with ice.
Temperature drop of 50 °F.
Deflections calculated using a wind speed of 60 mph.
A non-linear (P-delta) analysis was used.
Pressures are calculated at each section.
Stress ratio used in pole design is 1.
Local bending stresses due to climbing loads, feed line supports, and appurtenance mounts are not considered.
