HomeMy WebLinkAboutApologies and thank yousDear City Council, I emailed you yesterday expressing my hope that you would vote against Ordinance 1243. Although I expect based on your comments last night that we probably have different opinions on how to best address COVID-19, I wanted to reach out and tell you that I was appalled at the disorderly and absolutely rude conduct of many people who disrupted the meeting last night via the video conference call. I personally believe that citizens have the right to be heard in person for such an important decision, but that does not excuse, and I apologize for, the acutely disrespectful way you were treated by many people you are trying to serve. I just want to say I'm sorry, and hopefully give you faith that part of this community still believes in order and respect for differences, despite holding resolutely different opinions on sensitive issues. Thank you for your patience. And thank you for not voting on Ordinance 1243. Lindsey
