Mandatory Mask Mandate
Hi City Council Members,
Living in Madison County is a blessing for us all. We love our County, State, and Country. We work hard, watch over each other, and help where we can. Outsiders are finding out about
our beautiful spot and are moving here and trying to bring their radical ideas with them. I hope this is NOT one of those radical ideas.
I am all for protecting our elderly citizens and those that have underlying conditions of which I have in my own family. I am an adult and am doing the things that I have to do to protect
my family members when I am with them.
I hope that you do not try to take away our freedom of choice by making a mask mandate with fines that are assessed if you do not comply. These are big liberal city ideas that have
no place in our community.
Our officers, city and county both have better things to do than run around and ticket citizens that cannot wear a mask for health reasons or those that just plain don’t want to.
I think those citizens that want to wear a mask should be able to wear it. I myself comply with a store if it asks me to wear a mask and I think no less of anyone that wears one constantly.
I also think that those that do not want to wear a mask should have that right and so should you.
This will hurt businesses in our city because citizens will choose to go elsewhere possibly out of spite because of this idea. Please don’t make exceptions to the laws without allowing
citizens to voice their opinions.
I do agree this pandemic is real and it has taken lives of those that we love but war has taken those loved ones from us as well in fighting for our freedoms.
