We are following the mask mandate from the Idaho health department. Businesses are requiring masks and that there are people actually wearing masks. But there is absolutely no need for a fine and/or for businesses to lose their license just because they don’t require masks. Requiring masks with these punishments won’t help. Everyone is saying no one is wearing mask but I serve with the community all over the city and my dad is on campus and almost everyone is wearing a mask! We have an amazingly high amount of people wearing masks already. Mask do not prevent COVID-19. COVID-19 bacteria is 2.5x smaller than what a medical grade mask can filter. And there is absolutely no need for this just for not wearing a mask! It is against our constitutional rights for the city to mandate masks and for law enforcement to fine us for not wearing a mask and for businesses to lose their license. Just because they aren’t wearing masks! It is unbelievable what our country has come to just because how much the media has blown it out of proportion! Please don’t make this an ordinance! -- Caleb Lyons (Trombone Man)- Head Drum Major for the 2018 Madison Marching Band season “May the Force be with You!” "What Kind of band would this band be if everyone in it was just like me."
