M® 4 -POST VRC GENERAL OVERVIEW 4 -Post Vertical Lifts are used to move material between two or more levels. 4 -Post VRCs utilize a reliable and continuous duty all -mechanical drive system which provides simple installation, increased longevity and efficiency. This lift has been used in hundreds of warehouses, distribution centers, automotive dealerships, cold storage facilities, military installations and more. The uses and applications are endless. SPECIFICATIONS 4 -Post VRCs are available with lifting capacities up to 60,000 lbs; carriage sizes as required up to 15'x 15'; vertical travel from 2' to 40'; standard operating speeds of 20-25 fpm; optional speed changes; FABRICATION Vertical guide columns are constructed from 4" structural steel H - Beams; The carriage is comprised of 4" or 6" steel tubes forming the platform topped with diamond plate steel and 6" channels forming the vertical and horizontal structure. DIGITAL CONTROLS Standard power requirements are 230 volt, 3-phase, 60 hertz; options for other voltages are available. Pushbutton stations, limit switches and interlocks are operated on a control voltage of 24 VDC. CIP's exclusive Intelitroll 2600 Digital Control Panel housed in a NEMA 12 enclosure provides self-diagnostic features to improve reliability, decrease costly downtimes, ease troubleshooting and installation. OPERATIONAL CONCEPTS MDownloads The carriage is raised and lowered by four wire rope cables Sales Brochure attached to two 100% duty -cycle electric brake motors coupled Architectural Specs with Cyclo -Drive reducers that boasts a 500% shock load rating. Special switches and brakes monitor the cable situation. General Dimensions SAFETY DEVICES AND FEATURES Upward and downward travel is constrained by limit switches placed at each level for precise leveling. Slack cable switches provide monitoring of the cables and disable power in the event of a cable failure. Carriage mounted brakes prevent the carriage from uncontrolled descent in the unlikely event a cable were ever to fail. An electromechanical brake mounted on each motor is disengaged when power is applied to allow carriage movement. If a power failure should occur or a switch is tripped, power to the brakes will be removed which would automatically activate the brakes. The Soft-Start/Soft-Stop feature provides gradual acceleration and deceleration which protects the load, the unit and increase the lift's longevity. This feature is standard on units over 4,000 lbs capacity and available as an option on others. CARRIAGE STRUCTURE The Straddle VRC is equipped with side rails on all non-operating sides and safety chains on all operating sides. Straddle VRCs are capable of loading from the same side or from opposite sides at each level. These configurations are referred to as a "C", "Z" or "90 Degree" Load Pattern. http://www.customindprod.com/html/4-post_dual_drive.php 3/8/2008 800Z/8/£ dud•aAupinnp lsod-i,/fazeuoo-pozdputuzoisno-AvAm//:d4u ;uawUedaa 6ui;aljew 'dio LOOZ 'LO AeW 'lepuoW :!8 pau6isaa a;lg ;o s'[Jewape4 p9191sl69J aae oi;eW-o6a3 pue 'IIoJ;Ila;ul 'Ja;seW Plied Pa;Igiyad :a;epdn ;se-; hgou;s si;uesuoo uauunn;noy;Inn Ieua;ew Bons;o esn d]0;0 Apadoid sI a;Is qam sly; uo paule;uoo speoluMop pue uol;ewjo;ul sBuimelp 'sa6ewl IIV (dIO) 'oul 'spnp-d Ieu;snpul wo;sno 90OZ-S66LO o;ul peluoo :: a;onp;sanbad :: lioddng :: s;onpad ::;nogy :: awoH 'papinoid aq }snw 6uipaen6 `apoo 4'OZ8 3WSVIISNV aql 01 WJ04uoo of japio ui -uado sl a;e6 a uaynn Iuawanow a6euaeo }uanaad osle sNoolia;ui ayl 'uoilenala Juana.4lp I' le sl 96elJJeo 9141 uaunn a6eiaJeO pue 34!1 ayl 01 ssaooe }uanajd of paaolaa}ul /Ileoluegoawoijoale aae sa;eO -Ileq <,Z/4 a loa(ai il!m Uoigm le}aw papuedxa ,,Z/4 qj!m pajanoo pue segn} aienbs 2/4-4 W04 woad sainsoloue pue sa}e6 leuoi}do sainpelnuew dIO -Ileq aalaweip <<Z a 6uiloatai ;o algedeo pue u6iu ,g jo wnwiuiw a aq of sarnsoloua saimbai apoo sial -s)lil aql Jo sapis aigisseooe lie uo sainsoloue pue sa}e6 ajinbaa sjoAanuoO JO; paepuelS A39deS 4'OZ8 3SWV/ISNt/ S3in aNd S3HnSOlON3 AlRmon Z 3o Z 35t'd oAuCl junQ Isod-t
