Chris Huskinson Fire Inspector MEMO: TO: TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN FROM: CHRIS HUSKINSON, FIRE INSPECTOR DATE: MARCH 15, 2003 RE: TETON RIVER VILLAGE TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: Upon review of the site plan drawings submitted the following items need to be addressed: 1. WATER SUPPLY: This proposed project shows two very large square footage structures. The larger of the two will be required to be sprinklered, the existing building may be required depending upon configuration and occupancy. In order to determine accurate water supply the following items need to be known: a. What is the exact occupancy of each building? b. What is the square footage of each individual occupancy in each building? c. What is the future development of the lot to the west and north? d. What type of construction is the proposed building? e. The drawing does not show adequate numbers or coverage of fire hydrants. Please provide more fire hydrants. f. There are also two smaller adjacent buildings to the complex. What is their occupancy classification? What is the square footage of each building? The southern most building will be required to have a fire hydrant within required distances. 2. ACCESS: The access on the northeast side of the property does not provide for immediate access to proposed buildings. This access needs to be greatly improved. A minimum of two entrances will be required depending upon density and use. These access's may be required to be wider and more direct to facilitate emergency vehicle access. Please provide more complete drawings. 3. The areas adjacent to and around the buildings without any parking shall be marked with "No Parking, Fire Lane" in addition to having the curbs painted red and maintained. Additional plans are required to complete an accurate plan review of this project. If there are any questions please feel free to contact me. ----- e Chris Huskinson Fire Inspector
