HomeMy WebLinkAboutMEETING MINUTES - 04-00080 - Parkside Plat B - Planned Residential Development�Z i�11t0�t,l�E z -I , 2 Final Plat Parkside Plat "B" Planned Residential Development — Schiess & Associates (Kurt Rowland) John Dester — Developer of Parkside discussed the Plat `B" with the Commission on the overhead screen. They are changing the original Plat from 7 lots to 12 lots to accommodate twin homes on those lots. Kurt Hibbert discussed the problems with addressing residential units that do not face a City Street. John Dester will address that problem and provide addresses on the private driveways for those units that do not face a City Street. Randall Porter commented on the parking places that have been reserved for guest parking. Continued discussion on the location of the sidewalks and parking stalls for the development. The garages are built for 2 cars. Discussion on the Plat by the Commissioners. Kurt indicated that the building design will be required to comply with the new Design Standards for multi -family housing. These units are called "Townhomes". Mary Haley moved to approve the Final Plat for Parkside Plat "B" Planned Residential Development with a requirement to that they fulfill the addressing requirements mentioned by Kurt and that they have City Staff approval; Randall Porter seconded the motion; all voted aye, none opposed. The motion carried. Council Sem �,WU;�, Final Plat Parkside Plat "B" Planned Residential Development — Schiess & Associates (Kurt Rowland) Kurt Hibbert explained the Plat on the overhead screen. This is the seconded phase of the project. This is a continuation of the Master Plan for the development. The units are being sold as town homes. The Planning and Zoning Commission and City Staff recommend that this proposal be approved as a Final Plat. Shawn Larsen commented on the need for garage addresses on the garages. This was a recommendation from Planning and Zoning. Kurt Hibbert mentioned that the Addressing Committee recommended that the addresses should be placed on the garages for the units. John Dester (owner) explained that the units are starting to sell so they are moving ahead with phase 2 of the development. The twin homes are intended to buffer the development from the residential area. John indicated that they will comply with the addressing requirement from Planning and Zoning to address both the front and back of the units. Discussion on the naming of the streets for the development. Shawn Larsen moved to approve the Final Plat Parkside Plat `B" Planned Residential Development; Donna Benfield seconded the motion; all voted aye, none opposed. The motion carried. CMmc['l M (Wtks KO Q,MbLV Parkside Amended Plat B: Scott Spaulding reviewed the need to clean up a error on Plat A. Some of the property in Plat A needs to be moved to Plat B for Parkside Development. He requested the Council's approval to correct the error. Marsha Bjornn asked about the holding pond that is planned for green space. Shawn Larsen moved to approve the amendment to Plat A. Marsha Bjornn seconded the motion; all voted aye, none opposed. The motion carried.
