NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a Public Hearing will be held before the Planning &
Zoning Commission of the City of Rexburg, Idaho, Thursday, March 18, 2004, at 7:05 p.m., in
the City Council Chambers of the City Building at 12 North Center, Rexburg, Idaho, regarding a
zone change from Agricultural One (Agl) to Light Industrial (LI).
The said property (approximately 24 acres) is located north of the East Moody Road and west of
the railroad tracks in the Rexburg Impact Area, Madison County, Idaho, and more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a point where the Westerly boundary line of the Union Pacific Railroad right-of-
way Intersects the West line of the Southeast Quarter of Section 8, Township 6 North, Range 40
East, Boise Meridian, Madison County, Idaho, which is 3 rods, more or less, (59.10 feet) North
of the Southwest corner of said Southeast Quarter, and running thence North 1280.14 feet;
thence East 43 rods, more or less, to where it intersects the Westerly boundary of said Union
Pacific Railroad right-of-way; thence Southwesterly along the Westerly line of said right-of-way
to the place of beginning.
ALSO Commencing at a point 514 feet South of the Northwest Comer of the Southeast Quarter
of said Section 8, and running thence South 755.29 feet; thence East 43 rods, more or less, to the
West line of the Union Pacific Railroad right-of-way; thence Northeasterly along said right-of-
way to a point 514 feet South of the North line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 8; thence
West 1190 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM: Commencing at the Northwest corner of the Southeast Quarter of
said Section 8, and running thence South 514 feet to the point of beginning, thence East 200 feet;
thence South 1600 feet; thence West 200 feet; thence North 1600 feet to the point of beginning.
ALSO, beginning at the Southwest corner of the tract last above described, and running thence
South 200 feet; thence East to a point 60 feet West of the point where the extension of said
Easterly line would intersect the Westerly boundary line of the Union Pacific Railroad right-of-
way; thence Northeasterly following a line parallel to and at all times 60 feet
distant from said West boundary line of said Union Pacific right-of-way, a distance of 160 feet,
more or less, to a. point 200 feet East of the point of beginning; thence West 200 feet to the point
of beginning.
At such hearing the Planning & Zoning Commission will hear all persons and all objections and
recommendations relative to such proposed permit. The City Clerk will also accept written
comments at City Hall prior to 4:00 p.m. on March 17, 2004.
