I arrived on site and began my observations of the full penetration welds on the second floor framing at grid
lines 3:B-C. I observed the contractor prepare the area to be welded. I observed the contractor place the
root welds and clean the weld prior to adding the next pass. I observed that the welds appeared sound and
were free from visual inclusions and porosity. I notified the contractor of my observations prior to leaving.
