HomeMy WebLinkAboutMadison High School Homecoming Parade Re_ Public Gathering Permits for Homecoming Parade and Bonfire 2020 Madison High School.pdfFrom:Ryan Snelgrove To:Deborah Lovejoy; Bradee Klassen Subject:Re: Public Gathering Permits for Homecoming Parade and Bonfire Date:Tuesday, August 25, 2020 8:10:14 AM Deborah,  Thank you for your patience.  The following paragraphs outline the basic safety protocol for our Homecoming parade (to be on September 25th at 12:00 noon).  Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Also, I need to rescind the permit for the bonfire.  We have decided because of health and respiratory conditions to cancel that event this year.  Thank you! Ryan Snelgrove MHS Student Council The safety of our parade patrons is first on our minds. As in the past, the homecoming parade attracts participation from the surrounding district schools, all of which have been and will continue to be instructed on best health practices through the district and local health experts. As they attend the parade teachers and administrators will ensure their parade participants and patrons will maintain social distancing standards, encourage mask wearing, and being respectful of others. We will encourage attending public (primarily parents) to do the same. There will be no candy or other items thrown from parade entries. Entries will be limited to School, class, and school-sponsored teams, and will likely result in a slightly shorter parade.
