HomeMy WebLinkAboutMask mandate (9)To whom it may concern.
As a member of Rexburg community I’m actually in awe that you are having this meeting. We have been one of the best cities in the state of Idaho to allow us our freedoms. Not only under
the Constitution of the United States but our God given rights. I do however understand that you are probably following suit with every other county in the state. But this is in my
opinion is ludicrous. This is such an amazing community, with so much love and support. Not only is this going to cause hatred and separation in the community because of people’s feelings
and opinions it may actually cause issues that are happening around the country. We don’t need that here. We need to continue to stand strong for our right as American citizens and
members of this community. And if we really want to get into the health part of it, masks are actually more harmful than helpful. From personal experience and visiting with several
doctors and nurses from Idaho Falls to Rexburg it isn’t doing anyone any good to wear the masks. The only mask that actually protects people from getting Covid and any other virus for
that matter is the N95 mask and only if it is properly fitted to your face by a person who specializes in that area and you have to go to a hospital in most cases to have that fitting
done. I experienced severe side affects after only wearing a mask for 15 minutes. Dizziness set in so much that I couldn’t walk a straight line and almost passed out. Took it off for
a few minutes. Put it back on and within the next ten minutes has a massive headache. By the end of the night I had a sore throat and cough. The cough has lasted for a week and a half.
My daughter has to wear one to work. Because of past trauma her anxiety is extremely bad. After having her mask on for ten minutes she almost passed out from fear. Are we really wanting
to place this mandate on people and have these kinds of things happen to people?! What if people are driving and hypoxia sets in? This will result in more car accidents. What if people
like my daughter have fear, PTSD, claustrophobia, ADD, ADHD, past trauma and abuse? We are in for huge mental issues that are going to cost people more money because they are going
to be reliving past traumas. I personally also know this because I’ve lived it. It’s a very real and very scary thing. Please take into consideration these things along with what our
rights are as American Citizens. Please keep Rexburg one of the few cities to keep its normalcy.
Below I have attached a picture that was taken in a hospital in Boise. This is the box the masks come out of the 95% of people are wearing. Think about this also. Mask wearing makes
no sense. Oh and the seasonal flu death rate is over 1% higher than Covid and we NEVER freak out about that.
Thank you for your time.
A concerned mother, daughter, friend, wife, employee, and member of the Rexburg community,
