I am currently out of state preparing my previous home for sale and am not available to attend the meeting concerning masks. I would like to voice my opinion in opposition of such a
mandate. While many tout the pros of such actions, there are also many that offer dissenting points of view.
In addition, throughout this issue, I have watched how people wear and treat masks. I spent decades working in the mining industry where i often needed to wear respirators to protect
me from harmful particles and chemicals We spent countless hours training and testing to ensure proper fitment for proper protection. And I cannot believe that the general public are
using masks in such a way to adequately protect themselves or those around them.
I personally do not believe that it is government that is responsible for my health. That is something that is personal and that individuals should manage, not governments.
I realize that the interest of all Rexburg must be in your view. But please do not mandate something that will being such division to the city.
