I have heard that the Rexburg City Council is discussing mandatory mask measures for Rexburg. I am writing to you in hopes that you will read this and hear me among many others that
feel the same way that I do. First off! I have asthma. PLEASE do not make masks mandatory. Even if those with medical conditions are not required to wear them, I will be prosecuted
for not wearing one in public! I already have by fellow community members on Facebook. We have had few cases in Rexburg and it is probably one of the most unnecessary places to mandate
masks. I am EXTREMELY worried about having a SEVERE ASTHMA attack if I try to wear one to be a polite citizen and to also avoid being harassed by others. I am begging you, not because
of my freedoms or because I don’t care about others, but because I am much more afraid of having an attack than getting COVID-19. We have been taking every precaution here in Rexburg
and have taken all other measures to ensure it spreads more slowly, and it has! This has been the goal since the very beginning, not stopping it! That’s impossible. Please if you care
about the community and its members at all, hear my plea. Thank you for taking the time to hear a voice that rarely gets heard. I hope you do not cast my voice aside as many will back
me up on it. Thank you.
