I am writing this to speak about masks and how you are considering the Driggs city ordinance. PLEASE DO NOT USE IT!!! In my opinion and many others, the Driggs city Mayor, who is Mayor
Johnson, is doing a WRONG THING!!! He claims that he talked to the majority of businesses and come to find out he only talked to two. He did not talk to the major businesses at all,
especially Broulims the local grocery store. He has threatened many businesses now for their licenses if they do not have people wearing masks, which is illegal. The city of Driggs
Sheriff's Department will not enforce the masks since they do not have a contract with the city of Driggs. The mayor did not let AirBnb owners or companies know about the mask ordinance
so many are not telling the people renting the AirBnbs. The tourists are being counted as positive numbers for Teton Valley since they get tested in the valley and use the address where
they are staying. The cleaning crews for the rentals have no clue if people have been or not. The mayor will not listen to the people who have lived in the valley their whole lives
and is a move in so he thinks he can change things, wrong! As I have read many articles about masks they do not work, and many people cannot wear them for medical or various reasons.
Some people in our valley want to speak up but they feel like they cannot speak up since the mayor and two county commissioners will not listen.
I hope you consider NOT using the Driggs mask ordinance and PLEASE DO NOT MANDATE masks in Rexburg!!!! I know many people in Rexbug who cannot wear the masks as well!!
