The ordered amount of concrete was 140 yards. The contractor poured 120 of which into the slab on grade, and then realized that they had overestimated the necessary quantity of concrete. They then completed the preparation for the footings on another building and poured the remaining concrete there. The steel reinforcement in the footings appeared to be in general conformance with the project documents. The concrete for the slab on grade was of a higher design strength than that of the footings. I observed that the contractor was in general conformance to project documents.
