I. BACKGROUND
The subject property is an area of unincorporated property adjacent to the City of Rexburg. The
applicant is asking to have the property annexed to the City of Rexburg. The parcel being requested
for annexation is approximately 55 acres.
II. SITE DESCRIPTION
The site is located at approximately 950 Barney Dairy Road. The subject property is approximately
55 acres. The surrounding neighborhood is predominantly single family residential to the north
and west and agricultural to the south and the east.
III. STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Commission take public testimony, and determine if the proposed
annexation can be approved, denied, or approved with conditions. The Comprehensive Plan
identifies the use as Single family and Agriculture/Rural Cluster. The current zoning is compatible
with the Comp Plan. Staff recommends that the Planning and Zoning Commission recommend to
the City Council to approve the annexation of this property.

Water: Water would need to be extended from North Hill Road.
Sewer: There is no sewer in the area, and a lift station would most likely need to be installed to connect into
the City sewer sytem.
