October 10, 2017, The proposition of Gil Shirley's went before City Staff at Strategic Planning Meeting. Accessibility of water and sewer lines were discussed. C I TY OF REXBURG Cw- Amerlc4 Family Communit 2. November 6, 2017, an application was received from Gil Shirley requesting annexation into City limits. The application was discussed again at a Strategic Planning Meeting. 3. November 7, 2017 Notice was sent to the newspaper to be published on November 21, 2017 and December 2 2017. 4. November 22, 2017 Notice was mailed to adjacent property owners. 5. November 28, 2017 Notice was posted on the property in one location on 2000 W. 6. December 6, 2017, An amended staff report was sent to Gil Shirley and Randy Larsen. An agenda for December 7, P&Z Meeting was also included. December 7, 2017 Johnny Watson presented a request for annexation on behalf of Gil Shirley. 6:35 p.m. Approximately 2247 S. 2000 W. Annexation — Johnny Watson - (#17 00623), A proposed annexation which will retain the existing zoning (Commercial Business Center (CBC) Zone in the Impact Area for the City of Rexburg. City utilities will need to be connected at the owner's expense. Applicant will work with Richard Smith, who owns the property adjacent to the property being annexed, and will work with him to expand the utility lines through his parcel. They will work with the City's Public Works Director on the size of the utility lines needed for future development. MOTION: Steve Oakey moved to recommend approval of the annexation at approximately 2247 S. 2000 W. The proposed annexation will retain the existing zoning (Commercial Business Center (CBC) in the Impact Area for the City of Rexburg; John Bowen seconded the motion. The motion is a recommendation to City Council and no further discussion is needed. 1� VOTE: Those in Favor: Commissioner Anderson, Commissioner Davenport, Commissioner Blacker, Commissioner Farmer, Commissioner Rudd, Conunissioner Sutherland, Commissioner Oakey, Commissioner Kunz, Commissioner Bowen, Chairman Christensen Those Opposed: None. Motion Carried.
