ALL DETAILS INCLUDED IN DESIGN DRAWINGS MUST BE APPLIED TO ALL RELEVANT INSTALLATIONS REFERRED TO IN THE DETAIL. EACH DETAIL WILL NOT BE SPECIFICALLY REFERENCED ON THE DRAWINGS. DUCTWORK AND PIPING MAY DIFFER IN DIMENSIONS THAN WHAT IS INDICATED ON DRAWINGS BASED ON EASIER PROCUREMENT, CONSISTENT SIZES, OR FIELD INSTALLATION CONDITIONS. AS AIRFLOW DEMAND INCREASES (SEE SECTION: TEMPERATURE CONTROL) THE SUPPLY AND GENERAL EXHAUST WILL BE INCREASED SIMULTANEOUSLY TO MAINTAIN THE SCHEDULED PRESSURE. IF DOOR SWITCHES ARE PRESENT, THE PRESSURE CONTROL ALGORITHM WILL PAUSE WHEN THE DOOR IS OPEN, AND WILL RESUME AFTER THE DOOR IS CLOSED. IF THE SPACE TEMPERATURE FALLS BELOW THE ADJUSTABLE ROOM TEMPERATURE SETPOINT, THE AIRFLOW WILL INITIALLY BE MAINTAINED AT THE MINIMUM SCHEDULED HEATING AIRFLOW (OR THE VALUE DICTATED BY OTHER DEMANDS, E.G. FUME HOODS) AND THE REHEAT COIL OUTPUT WILL BE INCREASED. ONCE THE DISCHARGE TEMPERATURE REACHES THE ADJUSTABLE MAXIMUM VALUE, THE REHEAT OUTPUT WILL BE MAINTAINED. IF THE ROOM TEMPERATURE DOES NOT RISE TO THE ROOM TEMPERATURE SETPOINT, THE AIRFLOW WILL THEN BE INCREASED (IF SCHEDULED) TOWARDS THE MAXIMUM SCHEDULED HEATING AIRFLOW, ALLOWING THE REHEAT OUTPUT TO INCREASE WHILE MAINTAINING THE MAXIMUM DISCHARGE TEMPERATURE. IF THE SPACE TEMPERATURE RISES ABOVE THE ADJUSTABLE ROOM TEMPERATURE SETPOINT, THE REHEAT OUTPUT WILL BE DECREASED. ONCE THE DISCHARGE TEMPERATURE REACHES THE ADJUSTABLE MINIMUM VALUE, THE REHEAT OUTPUT WILL BE MAINTAINED. THE AIRFLOW WILL INITIALLY BE MAINTAINED AT THE MINIMUM SCHEDULED COOLING AIRFLOW (OR VALUE DICTATED BY OTHER DEMANDS). IF THE ROOM TEMPERATURE DOES NOT DECREASE TO THE ROOM TEMPERATURE SETPOINT, THE AIRFLOW WILL BE INCREASED TOWARDS THE MAXIMUM SCHEDULED COOLING AIRFLOW. MODES OF OPERATION: OCCUPIED MODE: OCCUPIED MODE MAY BE ACTIVATED BY A CONTACT INPUT OR COMMAND BY BUILDING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. A LOCAL OCCUPANCY SENSOR SHALL BE GIVEN PRIORITY OVER A BUILDING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM COMMAND ALLOWING THE USER TO OVERRIDE THE OCCUPANCY MODE AND SET THE SPACE TO “OCCUPIED” FOR A PREDETERMINED INTERVAL. WHILE IN OCCUPIED MODE THE CONTROLLER WILL TARGET THE SCHEDULED OCCUPIED AIRFLOWS. UNOCCUPIED MODE: UNOCCUPIED MODE MAY BE ACTIVATED BY A CONTACT INPUT OR COMMAND BY BUILDING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. WHILE IN UNOCCUPIED MODE THE CONTROLLER WILL TARGET THE UNOCCUPIED SETPOINTS. EMERGENCY PURGE MODE: THE EMERGENCY PURGE MODE MAY BE ACTIVATED BY A CONTACT INPUT OR COMMAND BY BUILDING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. WHILE IN THE EMERGENCY PURGE MODE, THE ROOM AIR CHANGE RATE WILL BE INCREASED. ROOM VOLUMETRIC OFFSET WILL BE MAINTAINED. PRESSURE MONITORING: A ROOM PRESSURE SENSOR WILL MEASURE THE DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE BETWEEN THE ROOM AND ADJOINING SPACE. THE DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE IS DISPLAYED ON THE WALL MOUNTED INTERFACE. LOW AND HIGH ROOM PRESSURE ALARMS AND CAUTIONS CAN BE ENABLED FOR LOCAL VISUAL AND AUDIBLE ALERT. ROOM DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE AND ALARMS ARE AVAILABLE TO THE BUILDING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. FUME HOOD CONTROL: SIDEWALL VELOCITY CONTROL: A VELOCITY SENSOR WILL MEASURE THE FACE VELOCITY OF THE FUME HOOD. UPON A MEASURED DECREASE IN FACE VELOCITY, THE CONTROLLER WILL INCREASE THE EXHAUST AIR VOLUME UNTIL THE MEASURED FACE VELOCITY IS EQUAL TO THE TARGET FACE VELOCITY. ON AN INCREASE IN MEASURED FACE VELOCITY, THE CONTROLLER WILL INCREASE THE EXHAUST AIR VOLUME UNTIL THE MEASURED FACE VELOCITY IS EQUAL TO THE TARGET FACE VELOCITY. A MINIMUM AIRFLOW IS MAINTAINED AT ALL TIMES WHEN THE SASH IS CLOSED TO ENSURE THE PROPER FUME HOOD AIR CHANGE RATE. ALARMS: AN AUDIBLE AND VISUAL ALARM WILL BE ACTIVATED IF: • THE MEASURED FACE VELOCITY DROPS BELOW THE ADJUSTABLE LOW ALARM LIMIT, OR RISES ABOVE THE ADJUSTABLE HIGH ALARM LIMIT • WHILE THE UNIT IS IN ALARM, THE LED LIGHT BARS WILL BE RED. THE AUDIBLE ALARM CAN BE SILENCED BUT WILL RE-ENGAGE AFTER AN ADJUSTABLE TIME DELAY. FUME HOOD EMERGENCY PURGE: AN EMERGENCY PURGE FEATURE WILL BE ACTIVATED WHEN THE “EMERGENCY” BUTTON ON THE FUME HOOD INTERFACE IS PRESSED. THE AIR DEVICE WILL MODULATE TO ITS FULLY OPEN POSITION TO PURGE THE FUME HOOD. A VISUAL AND AUDITORY ALARM WILL ACTIVATE TO INDICATE THAT THE FUME HOOD IS BEING PURGED. BUILDING NETWORK COMMUNICATION THE AIRFLOW CONTROL SYSTEM (ACS) WILL COMMUNICATE OVER A NATIVE BACNET MS/TP TRUNK TO THE BUILDING AUTOMATION NETWORK. ALL POINTS ARE AVAILABLE TO THE BMS WITH NO NETWORK GATEWAY REQUIRED.
