2. OnJune 13,2072,the City Clerk sent the Notice of Pubtc Headng to be published in the
Iocal newspapet onJune 16 andJune 30, 201,2. A notice was posted on the ptoperty and sent
to all propefty ownefs within 300 feet of the above mentioned pfopefty.
3. On July 5,201,2 Cory Sorensen presented to the Planning & Zonng Commission for the

the motion.

explained refering back to the comprehensive plan goals shown befotehand; the focus is
to provide housing for University residents as close to the university as possible. This willaliow them to walk to the univetsity. This is a good proposal because it addresses theconcems' issues, and goals of the community. In regards to the zone change that is taking placeJuly 5ft concerning your property locatedon the comer of 5s west and 2"d South, it has come to my attention that you have some concems. Ihave spoken to cory Sorensen and he has advised me that you have questions about the use of theproperty after the zoning has been changed. The business that is currently operating on the subjectproperty would be "gtandfathered" in its use. That is to say that as long as it continued to functionwithout a one ye^r break, it could continue for perpen_riry.
Another option at your dlsposal is to piace a sunset clause on the zone change. This wouldallow you to revert back to the current zone if the project was not able to move forward for anyreason' I hope this helps you understand your ophons better.
